Dans le même temps, le facteur clé dans cette région géopolitique est la situation en Afghanistan.
La déstabilisation de la situation est largement influencée par les contradictions existant entre les principaux acteurs régionaux. D'où la nécessité d'un examen approfondi de la politique dans des pays tels que l'Iran, le Pakistan, l'Inde et les politiques extérieures des principaux acteurs - la Russie, les Etats-Unis, au Royaume-Uni, l'Union européenne, la Chine, la position qui affectent l'équilibre du pouvoir dans la région.
Le but de l'événement est une analyse scientifique de la situation en Asie centrale sur la sécurité régionale, ainsi que dans l'élaboration de propositions scientifiques pour la stabilisation de la situation en Afghanistan dans son ensemble, et dans la macro-région.
La conférence a réuni des spécialistes de l'Institut d'Etat de Moscou des relations internationales MGIMO (U), l'Institut d'études stratégiques (RISS), Académie russe de l'économie nationale et de l'administration publique auprès du Président de la Fédération de Russie (RANHiGS), Institut d'études orientales, et d'autres grands centres de recherche.
